About the position

The Account Manager position at a leading automotive company focuses on driving sales and managing customer relationships in the automotive electrification sector. This role involves acquiring new customers, maintaining existing relationships, and contributing to sales strategy development, all while working in a hybrid or remote capacity near Greenville, SC or Detroit, MI.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new customers and secure projects within emerging global markets focused on automotive electrification.
  • Manage and maintain customer relationships across the USA, Canada, and Mexico, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and retention.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and refinement of sales strategies to drive growth and market expansion.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and consistently tracking customer satisfaction to maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Coordinate sales projects from initiation to order placement, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tailored proposals by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering and purchasing.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales of technically complex products, HV high voltage/low voltage is a plus.
  • 3+ years of automotive experience.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, solution-oriented thinking, and excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools, including Siemens, Teamcenter or SAP, preferred.
  • Proficiency in English.
