About the position

The Account Manager at Milsco LLC is responsible for managing and serving as the primary contact for a designated group of customers. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, developing long-term relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution. The Account Manager will analyze customer performance, drive corrective actions, and collaborate with internal departments to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and serve as primary contact for an assigned group of customers.
  • Understand key customers' business, products, interests, and needs.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
  • Analyze and validate customer scorecards, identifying gaps and facilitating root cause analysis.
  • Drive corrective actions to resolve issues and improve results.
  • Present solutions and provide status updates to customers and internal departments.
  • Drive and monitor the formal problem resolution process from containment to permanent corrective action.
  • Liaise between external customers and internal departments (Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality) to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Resolve issues related to payment, terms, and deviation requests.
  • Identify, recommend, and coordinate SKU rationalization and obsolescence opportunities.
  • Contribute to the S&OP process for existing customers/products and new program launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or significant relevant experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in a business-to-business customer service or key account manager role, including knowledge in manufacturing processes and planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven results in influencing and driving action.
  • Ability to breakdown complex situations into clearly understandable and actionable tasks.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to independently manage multiple projects in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel (able to create and interpret V lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Prior experience or background in continuous improvement or a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Formal problem-solving training preferred.
