About the position

The Account Manager at Trane Technologies is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships in the commercial equipment and parts sector. This role focuses on maximizing revenues through account penetration, generating new customers, and retaining existing ones. The position requires a proactive approach to sales, including the execution of account-specific business plans and collaboration with various stakeholders in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain equipment and parts customer relationships to ensure maximum revenues.
  • Generate budgeted sales and manage pricing to achieve margin goals.
  • Execute account-specific business plans to facilitate strong partnerships.
  • Build relationships with utilities, builders, and industry associations.
  • Expand market penetration in the light commercial sector.
  • Identify customer needs and create action plans to address them.
  • Travel to customer job sites, which may include outdoor work and exposure to variable weather conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of successful experience in Business Development and Sales.
  • Preferred experience in the HVAC or related industry.
  • Knowledge of Commercial HVAC products and systems applications is preferred.
  • Experience with CRM/SaleForce is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with a clean driving record.
