About the position

The Account Manager (AM) at MPD Inc. is primarily responsible for managing sales and client relationships within the Law Enforcement and Public Safety industry. This role requires a partnership with the Company’s Regional Sales Manager (RSM), Technical Sales Manager, and authorized Company Distributors to effectively serve a defined geographic territory. The AM must develop and maintain strong client relationships based on trust and accountability, ensuring that the clients receive quality video evidence and speed enforcement solution consultations. The goal is to meet and exceed client expectations while contributing to the territory's sales growth plan. In this position, the AM will be expected to articulate comprehensive technical solution recommendations tailored to clients' needs, schedules, and budgets. Solutions may include In-Car Video (ICV), Body Worn Video (BWV), and various speed enforcement technologies. The AM will negotiate terms of sale, manage the sales pipeline, and close sales opportunities using the Kustom Signals Inc. (KSI) Selling Solutions process. Additionally, the AM will maintain accurate documentation of customer communications and activities in the CRM software, ensuring a well-organized approach to sales management. The role also involves territory management, where the AM will develop and execute business strategies to improve revenue growth and maximize profits. This includes maintaining accurate forecasts, managing the order fulfillment process, and acting as the primary point of contact for all Law Enforcement Agencies within the assigned territory. The AM will also be responsible for training distribution partners and responding to client technical issues in coordination with various functional departments within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales and client relationships within assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships based on trust and accountability.
  • Provide quality video evidence and speed enforcement solution consultations.
  • Articulate comprehensive technical solution recommendations based on client needs.
  • Negotiate terms of sale including product specifications, services, and pricing.
  • Prospect potential customers by phone and email to uncover sales opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a current Sales Pipeline and territory schedule.
  • Qualify, manage, and close sales opportunities using KSI Selling Solutions process.
  • Document customer communications and activities in CRM software.
  • Develop and execute business strategies to improve revenue growth.
  • Maintain accurate rolling forecasts for assigned territory.
  • Initiate and manage the order fulfillment process from receipt to completion.
  • Train Distribution Partners within the assigned territory.
  • Respond to client technical issues and coordinate with Customer Service and Technical Support.

Requirements

  • Four-year post-secondary degree or equivalent job knowledge and experience.
  • Three years of previous sales experience, preferably in technical sales.
  • Experience working with distribution partners is a plus.
  • Previous use of sales automation and/or CRM software.
  • Demonstrated success in navigating the sales life cycle including prospecting and closing deals.
  • Ability to communicate features, benefits, and value effectively.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
