About the position

The Account Manager at Superior Janitorial Services, Inc. is responsible for driving sales growth by managing existing accounts and developing new client relationships. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Account Manager will be expected to meet monthly sales quotas while ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively develop client contacts and sales opportunities
  • Conduct market research on prospective and existing clients
  • Manage and grow customer base to achieve a given monthly sales quota
  • Develop and present sales proposals
  • Prepare and present proposals that are beneficial to new clients and profitable for the company
  • Create new proposals for existing customers to enhance their business using the company's services
  • Identify and assist in implementing strategies to improve service quality, productivity, and profitability
  • Inspect ongoing projects regularly
  • Prepare sales and marketing proposals and presentations
  • Participate in trade shows and other lead-generating events
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments including administration, production, management, and contractors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Understanding of the business sales process for services
  • Proven customer service orientation and closing skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional phone demeanor
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking abilities
  • Knowledge of estimating principles
  • Flexibility and creativity with sales strategy and telemarketing/cold calling/prospecting/networking
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple leads/projects concurrently
  • Valid Driver's License is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
  • Experience in generating sales leads for commercial janitorial services is a plus
  • 3 years of B2B sales experience preferred.
