About the position

The Account Manager for the US Petcare Division at Zoetis is responsible for maximizing sales performance within a designated territory through solution selling, territory management, and business planning. This field-based role requires the candidate to engage with veterinary practices, launch new products, and maintain strong customer relationships while adhering to promotional guidelines. The position demands travel and some evening work for educational programs, and candidates should reside within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Meet overall sales objectives (quota) for key growth products through demand generation.
• Successfully launch new products and generate new equipment leads.
• Demonstrate solution selling capabilities consistently.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with targeted hospitals and personnel.
• Interact with customers following Zoetis promotional guidelines.
• Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan and Resource Allocation.
• Meet field activity expectations including sales call activity and investment in medical education programs.
• Develop and execute a call-cycle at the account and veterinarian level.
• Work professionally with all Zoetis Petcare colleagues and meet expectations around integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required.
• 3-10 years of documented and successful consultative sales experience.
• Ability to creatively find opportunities or solve problems to drive sales performance.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment.
• Animal Health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage assigned expense budgets.
