About the position

The Account Manager at Republic Services is responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing customers in the commercial and industrial waste services sector. This role focuses on customer retention, increasing service penetration, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and relationship-building. The Account Manager will utilize Salesforce to manage customer interactions and will collaborate with the operations team to address service issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Effectively maintains and retains existing customers by building long-term relationships and customer loyalty.
• Develops and maintains thorough knowledge of the company's services, pricing structures, and additional offerings.
• Performs contractual re-signs on existing customers to extend relationships and increase profitability.
• Responds to cancellation requests in alignment with the established escalation policy.
• Proactively communicates with customers in support of company pricing initiatives.
• Utilizes Salesforce daily to schedule and document all activities such as calls, meetings, and proposals.
• Responsible for capturing customer emails, minimizing rate restrictions, and customer credits.
• Increases customer penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products.
• Regularly meets with the Sales Manager to review customer retention activities and progress versus goals.
• Partners with the operations team to address customer service issues as needed.
• Builds relationships and increases company visibility through participation in company-sponsored activities and events.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant sales experience.
• Valid driver's license.
