About the position

The Account Manager at GSD&M plays a crucial role in the account team, ensuring the smooth execution of projects and aligning them with the brand's overarching goals. This position involves leading the creative process, managing client relationships, and fostering collaboration across departments to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage job change forms and oversee estimates/billing.
  • Craft and distribute conference reports and meeting agendas.
  • Lead the creative process from briefing to presentation and production through release.
  • Problem-solve and remove roadblocks to ensure great work.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to optimize resources and timing.
  • Prepare for client meetings by understanding attendees' needs and focusing on key topics.
  • Understand and translate strategy into day-to-day account activities.
  • Engage with creative teams to inspire ideas and deliver innovative work.
  • Nurture relationships with clients and partner agencies to ensure success.
  • Track results and lead optimization efforts for client projects.
  • Train and guide Assistant Account Managers and Interns.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of agency experience or related communication industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with a preferred concentration in advertising, communications, or marketing.
  • Strong presentation and writing skills.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and management skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented in a production-intensive environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite or Mac equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in advertising, marketing, paid and social media, creative, production, research, and direct marketing.
