About the position

The Account Manager at MedWiz Pharmacy is responsible for managing relationships with healthcare facilities, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and driving business growth. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, collaborating closely with healthcare providers to optimize medication management and enhance patient care. It involves daily local travel and occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at the facilities.
• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, understanding their needs and requirements.
• Coordinate medication orders, deliveries, and inventory management.
• Provide clinical support and guidance to healthcare providers on medication therapy and compliance.
• Address client inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.
• Identify opportunities for expanding services and introducing new products to meet client needs.
• Conduct training sessions and educational programs for healthcare staff on medication management best practices.
• Analyze data on medication usage and outcomes to optimize processes and improve patient care.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal pharmacy teams to ensure seamless coordination of services for clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, LPN or RN, and 2-4 years of experience in account management, preferably in the Long Term Care or healthcare industry.
• Long term care pharmacy experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer proficiency, including pharmacy and medication distribution software (EMAR, Pyxis Medbank, Frameworks preferred).
• Ability to handle escalated issues with diplomacy and professionalism.
