About the position

The Account Manager at ABM Industries is responsible for developing new and potential accounts within a defined territory, focusing on Technical Solutions, particularly mechanical and HVAC solutions. This role involves working closely with prospective clients to assess their current service programs and collaborating with a team to create effective sales strategies. The Account Manager orchestrates the sales process, communicates value to clients, and ensures a smooth implementation and transition for new business.

Responsibilities

  • Seek out new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and engaging with current customers.
  • Identify, plan, and execute growth strategies for existing clients.
  • Partner with businesses to coauthor unique solutions.
  • Develop risk-mitigation strategies to assist customers in budgeting for future projects.
  • Create and present pricing options for service and maintenance agreements.
  • Benchmark partner facilities to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas.
  • Build and maintain strong business partnerships to gain client trust and deliver value-added solutions.
  • Generate and deliver impactful proposals and presentations that lead to signed contracts.
  • Participate in sales and industry training to convert training into sales results.
  • Coordinate with operations and sales team members to meet customer needs.
  • Track all sales activities in Salesforce.com.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in facilities services or business solution sales direct to end-users.
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively to groups and all levels, including executives.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with existing clients and facilitate add-on business.
  • Strong writing skills for detailed sales proposals.
  • Well-organized with the ability to handle multiple proposals and processes simultaneously.
  • Motivated for professional, personal, and financial growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com (or similar CRM).
