About the position

The Account Manager position at Willdan Energy Company involves driving participation in Commercial Energy Programs and providing sales support for larger projects. The role requires developing and closing sales with small and mid-sized business customers, as well as consulting with contractors within the territory. This remote position is targeted at candidates located in Massachusetts or New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Drive and support participation in Commercial Energy Programs.
• Provide administrative overview for multiple utility partner programs.
• Offer sales support on larger projects to C-Suite executives, facility managers, and other key stakeholders.
• Develop and close sales with small and mid-sized business customers within utility-sponsored incentive programs.
• Recruit and consult with the existing contractor network within the territory.

Requirements

• Experience with MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Knowledge of local laws and energy conservation codes preferred.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency and applicable state policies on energy efficiency preferred.
• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and technologies preferred.
• Experience working on successful energy efficiency programs, especially with small and mid-sized energy-efficiency measures preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with key market actors in the industry.
• Experience with Trade Allies working on energy efficiency programs in the Northeast preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy Efficiency, Engineering, Sustainability, Communications or related disciplines with 1+ years of professional experience in relevant fields, or a High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in energy efficiency technologies and products.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency programs and policies in the Northeast.
