About the position

The Sales Account Manager at Pregis is responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy to identify, qualify, and sell to new customers within the Indiana territory. This role emphasizes building relationships through the Pregis distributor network and managing an established book of end-user business. The position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure effective sales forecasting and competitive quoting, all while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships and drive new business through the Pregis distributor network.
  • Manage growth and retention of an established book of end-user business.
  • Facilitate positive, growth-oriented relationships and develop sales strategies.
  • Initiate and quote new items, coordinating with operations, customer service, and engineering.
  • Establish legitimate sales forecasts within the assigned territory.
  • Regularly analyze market position, profitability, and competitive impact.
  • Manage all administrative duties within the territory in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support accounts receivable, optimize pricing and profitability, and manage CRM.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma, preferably in business or package engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of outside B2B sales experience.
  • Proven track record of prospecting new accounts and driving new business.
  • Ability to build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Highly effective negotiation and communication skills.
  • Capacity to prepare and present compelling sales materials.
  • Results-oriented and highly motivated to perform with minimal direct management.
  • High degree of personal and professional ethical standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Organized with effective time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Pregis products, applications, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform basic machine repairs.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
