About the position

The Account Manager at Aptar Group is responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of existing and new accounts within the Beauty sector. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, driving growth through customer engagement, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance product offerings. The position requires a strategic approach to account management, emphasizing relationship building and technical expertise to meet customer needs and market demands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a base of existing and new accounts for Aptar Beauty.
  • Meet or exceed budget for defined sales territory (unit, measure, sustainable profit).
  • Establish and maintain call objectives for each account.
  • Utilize overall sales methodology processes and tools.
  • Develop an understanding of the unique environment within each customer and create a plan for value creation.
  • Lead the organization in creating and sustaining competitive advantage with customers.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with key personnel.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with customers where sales exceed $1 million annually.
  • Enhance responsiveness as a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with Aptar Cary lab to deliver technical expertise.
  • Sell Aptar products to maximize profitability and increase market share.
  • Continually learn new product and technical knowledge and acquire selling skills.
  • Stay knowledgeable of competition and add value through creativity and service.
  • Sell/upgrade current customers into new products that increase profitability.
  • Establish special customer prices and prepare/present quotations.
  • Penetrate targeted list of prospective customers in targeted application fields.
  • Participate in industry events and technical committees.

Requirements

  • College or University Degree, Engineering or Technical concentration preferred.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of engineering, project management or related technical/commercial work.
  • Prior sales experience required.
  • Experience with Aerosol project management, product development, or related technical expertise preferred.
  • Experience in Quality Laboratories or Quality Control or Technical Services/Spray Development in Plastic industries preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or comparable degree preferred.
  • Knowledge about Aptar dispensing systems preferred.
  • Basic knowledge about capper machines and sorting systems.
  • Knowledge of aerosol filling process and bottling process.
  • Knowledge of closure design and associated features.
  • Knowledge of Beauty markets preferred.
