About the position

The Account Manager at ingredients PLUS is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of customers, focusing on delivering exceptional customer care and achieving volume targets in a competitive commodity market. This role involves proactive outreach to both existing and prospective clients, ensuring that their business needs are met through high-quality food ingredient solutions. The Account Manager collaborates with various departments to support product delivery and resolve customer issues, while also utilizing data analytics to monitor performance and report to management.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of customers and volume targets.
• Provide outstanding customer care and support customer needs.
• Conduct proactive outreach to prospective clients.
• Promote new and existing products and services to current customers.
• Select appropriate product information to meet individual customer needs.
• Partner with the Account Executive to prepare Quarterly Business Reviews and negotiate contracts.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, operations, finance, and logistics teams.
• Monitor contract and spot performance using data and analytics.
• Represent ingredients PLUS at industry tradeshows and events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent combination of work and education.
• 3+ years of sales experience with a track record of year-over-year growth.
• Strong ability to influence, mediate, and persuade others.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce preferred.
