About the position

The Account Receivable Collections Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable function within Concentric, ensuring accurate and timely billing, collections, and cash application processes. This role plays a critical part in optimizing collections, managing a team, and maintaining positive customer relationships while ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely generation of invoices for goods or services provided.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize collections and reduce outstanding balances.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices, payment terms, and payment arrangements.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate application of customer payments.
  • Lead and manage a team of accounts receivable professionals, providing guidance and training.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts receivable function.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing inquiries and disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High School or GED Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Collections experience including interaction with a large vendor base within multiple ERP systems.
  • Skilled in negotiation to improve payment terms with vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to organize work and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and across remote offices.
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly to internal and external vendors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in an industrial environment is preferred, but not required.
