About the position

The Account Relationship Manager at Stellar Industrial Supply is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships while driving sales growth in the Memphis, TN area. This role involves collaborating with various teams to provide tailored solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a sales-oriented mindset and a passion for industrial tools, focusing on delivering value to customers through effective account management and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple accounts within an assigned territory, ensuring high levels of customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Establish and implement a sales growth plan for each customer and location.
  • Gain a consistent understanding of the company's Value Proposition and execute it effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to provide value to customers, documenting cost savings and reporting back to them.
  • Partner with local supplier representatives and Specialists to create value and improve efficiencies for all customers.
  • Develop a pipeline of customer prospects through networking, referrals, research, and cold calling, utilizing the CRM (Proton AI).
  • Plan, organize, and schedule territory development activities.
  • Stay updated on product and industry knowledge.
  • Achieve mastery of Stellar systems, tools, and programs.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong mechanical or technical aptitude is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex information and listen effectively to customer needs.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and be detail-oriented.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cutting tools, metalworking, tapes, abrasives, or adhesives is desired, but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
