About the position

As an Account Representative I at Guidant Financial, you will play a crucial role in supporting small business owners who utilize our 401(k) plan administration services. This fully remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while being part of a reputable and thriving company that has been empowering entrepreneurs for over 21 years. Your primary responsibilities will include handling incoming client calls, resolving issues related to their 401(k) plans, and answering client inquiries with enthusiasm and expertise. You will also be responsible for meticulously reviewing and updating client-submitted documents within our advanced system, ensuring that all tasks are completed promptly and accurately. In this role, you will effectively manage and prioritize a queue of cases, ensuring timely responses within predefined deadlines. A deep understanding of retirement plans, particularly 401(k) plans, is essential. You will need to demonstrate your ability to work independently while also collaborating seamlessly with your team and department. Guiding clients through internal processes and assisting them in navigating multiple systems will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will thoroughly examine and analyze client-submitted documents to ensure maximum precision and accuracy. Your role will also involve providing support to clients and team members regarding complex retirement plan matters, contributing to various department initiatives, and going above and beyond to handle any additional tasks that arise. Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage and prioritize a queue of cases, ensuring timely responses within predefined deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of retirement plans, with a specific emphasis on 401(k) Plans.
  • Showcase your capacity to independently complete tasks while collaborating seamlessly within your team and department.
  • Masterfully guide clients through internal processes, providing invaluable assistance in navigating multiple systems.
  • Thoroughly examine and analyze client-submitted documents for maximum precision and accuracy.
  • Provide support to clients and team members regarding complex retirement plan matters, including terminations.
  • Contribute to various department and team initiatives to achieve shared goals.
  • Go above and beyond to handle any additional tasks that arise in order to keep things running seamlessly.

Requirements

  • Preferably holding an associate's or bachelor's degree in a field related to the position (such as business or finance) or equivalent work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of 401(K) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to adapt to process and organizational changes easily.
  • Ability to confidently engage in difficult conversations with clients while maintaining professionalism.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
  • Prior experience in customer service, organization, and collaboration will be highly regarded.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime during peak periods leading up to set deadlines is required.
