As an Account Representative I at Guidant Financial, your primary focus will be providing unwavering support to small business owners who utilize our 401(k) plan administration services. You will handle incoming client calls, expertly resolve any issues related to their 401(k) plans, and enthusiastically answer all client inquiries. Additionally, you will meticulously review and update client-submitted documents within our state-of-the-art system. Ensuring seamless collaboration with team members, including Plan Administrators and Quality Assurance Specialists, is crucial to ensuring the prompt completion of tasks such as 5500 filings, distribution requests, loan requests, and other necessary documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage and prioritize a queue of cases, ensuring timely responses within predefined deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of retirement plans, with a specific emphasis on 401(k) Plans.
  • Showcase your capacity to independently complete tasks while collaborating seamlessly within your team and department.
  • Masterfully guide clients through internal processes, providing invaluable assistance in navigating multiple systems.
  • Thoroughly examine and analyze client-submitted documents for maximum precision and accuracy.
  • Providing support to clients and team members regarding complex retirement plan matters, including terminations.
  • Contributing to various department and team initiatives to achieve shared goals.
  • Going above and beyond to handle any additional tasks that arise in order to keep things running seamlessly.

Requirements

  • Preferably holding an associate's or bachelor's degree in a field related to the position (such as business or finance) or equivalent work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of 401(K) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to adapt to process and organizational changes.
  • Ability to confidently engage in difficult conversations with clients while maintaining professionalism.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Prior experience in customer service, organization, and collaboration will be highly regarded.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime during peak periods leading up to set deadlines.
