About the position

The Account Representative at TTI, Inc. is responsible for selling company products and services through various communication channels, including telephone, email, and fax. This role involves collaborating with Field Sales Representatives and management to enhance customer engagement and sales performance. The position emphasizes building customer relationships, meeting sales objectives, and maintaining high ethical standards in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Sell products and services offered by TTI, including product lines and value-added services, by building relationships and tailoring sales approaches to customer needs.
  • Provide price and delivery quotes to customers within assigned territories, ensuring competitive pricing and timely communication.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, maintaining quality expectations and on-time delivery.
  • Expand product knowledge through various resources to effectively discuss product options with customers.
  • Participate in the TTI Total Quality process to maintain an efficient sales cycle and reduce errors.
  • Increase customer account base by generating leads and making cold calls to prospective customers.
  • Provide management with sales and marketing information, including forecasts and activity reports.
  • Attend sales calls with Field Sales Representatives to develop customer relationships and trust.
  • Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner when acting as a designated quality representative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with one to three years of sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional knowledge of company products and services.
  • Strong selling skills, including persuasiveness and tenacity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to calculate discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Proficient in writing reports and correspondence professionally.
  • Ability to read and interpret business periodicals and technical procedures.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and make responsible decisions.
  • Familiarity with company policies, procedures, and computer systems.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).
