About the position

The Account Sales Manager at Franklin Automation Inc. is responsible for generating new business and expanding existing accounts across various lines of business. This role involves developing client relationships, implementing sales strategies, and ensuring customer satisfaction while meeting defined profit objectives. The position requires a proactive approach to sales, effective communication, and the ability to manage project requirements and risks.

Responsibilities

  • Sells core/Primary Products and increases market share.
  • Evaluates and targets potential customer opportunities within the territory.
  • Develops and implements sales marketing strategies to penetrate all customers within territory.
  • Translates customer needs into detailed proposals and project plans.
  • Communicates project requirements to project team and wider organization.
  • Identifies potential project risks and develops strategies to minimize impact.
  • Proactively communicates project schedules and related activities with customers.
  • Manages execution and review of all scope of work and customer contracts.
  • Coaches and mentors developing colleagues as needed.
  • Constantly canvasses the territory to find new customers and opportunities.
  • Establishes goals and objectives related to account and product sales.
  • Sells multiple products to customer base, focusing on primary product lines.
  • Provides local support of vendor's products through application and engineering assistance.
  • Maintains and increases revenue from existing accounts.

Requirements

  • Solid sales skills and ability to uncover effective customer solutions.
  • Solid teamwork skills and shows initiative.
  • Very adaptable and responds effectively to changes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of previous account development or sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, mechanical or electrical design preferred.

Nice-to-haves
