The Solution Engineer role at Salesforce is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and sales, focusing on developing innovative solutions for clients in the Small, Medium, and Growth Business segments. This position involves collaborating with customers and internal teams to create tailored technology solutions that enhance business performance and customer engagement. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong communication skills to effectively demonstrate Salesforce products and drive consensus among stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients and internal team members to drive consensus on multi-product technology solutions.
  • Solve complex business problems by defining issues, driving innovative ideas, and recommending practical next steps.
  • Manage innovation by guiding clients through decision-making processes and evaluating solution options.
  • Demonstrate connected experiences through software demos and rapid prototyping using Salesforce solutions.
  • Assist customers and sales teams in discovering business needs and positioning appropriate Salesforce solutions.
  • Build and present customized solutions and demonstrations to various customer personas.
  • Convey a deep understanding of the customer's architecture in relation to Salesforce solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional solution guides and align them with opportunity strategies.
  • Develop and deliver compelling narratives of customer experiences using Salesforce technologies.
  • Participate in product, sales, and procedural training to maintain essential knowledge for the role.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of related applications, relational databases, and web technologies.
  • Solid oral, written, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Salesforce Certifications
  • Previous experience as a solution/sales engineer for a CRM or similar technology
  • Basic programming experience in HTML and other web-based technologies.
