About the position

This position provides accounting services for the Capital Outlay Program, specifically for State Agencies and Colleges & Universities. The role involves preparing financial and capital asset reports, posting transactions in the accounting system, preparing billings, and assisting with the coordination and maintenance of the chart of account structure. Additionally, the position includes performing special projects and tasks as assigned by the manager.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester (36 term) credits in accounting.
  • For Accountant 10: One year of professional experience in accounting or auditing.
  • For Accountant P11: Two years of professional experience in accounting or auditing, including one year equivalent to an Accountant 10.
  • For Accountant 12: Three years of professional experience in accounting or auditing, including one year equivalent to an Accountant P11.
  • Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification may substitute for one year of Accountant P11 experience.
  • Possession of a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification may substitute for six months of Accountant P11 experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
