About the position

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an accountant on a contract basis until June, offering a competitive hourly rate of $30. The role involves reconciling receipts to the general ledger and credit card statements, along with various accounting and reporting responsibilities to support the unit's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Reconciliation of receipts
• Preparation of journal entries to record corrections based on reconciliations
• Comprehensive accounting and reporting responsibilities
• Conduct and document moderately complex financial/business analysis and research
• Prepare, forecast and analyze trends
• Demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedures and recommend improvements
• Utilize PC and mainframe based systems and software to prepare specialized reports, graphs, and charts
• Cooperate with other departments in the preparation of analysis
• Perform varied work assignments with limited supervision

Requirements

• Knowledge and application of fundamental financial concepts, practices and procedures
• Solid conceptual understanding of business problems related to assigned finance projects
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience preferred
• Willingness to work and contribute in a team environment
• Ability to interface effectively with clients, manager and others
• Ability to plan and organize activities to complete assigned tasks on time with a high level of accuracy
• Demonstrated developed written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop goals for self and monitor progress; seeking assistance as appropriate
