About the position

The Tax Accountant position in Mid-Town Anchorage offers an opportunity to significantly impact tax preparation, planning, and compliance within a dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Prepare and file taxes accurately and efficiently.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and handle quarterly tax planning.
• Amend tax returns as necessary and work on special projects related to business transactions.
• Tackle complex projects with significant scope and impact.

Requirements

• Education: BA in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Experience: Background in tax accounting and auditing; experience with CPA firms is a plus.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to communicate professionally with peers and clients.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with GAAP (1 year preferred)
• CPA certification (preferred)
