We have an exciting career opportunity in our accounting department for the position of Accountant/Financial Analyst. This role is crucial in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of our financial reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking, which are essential for the strategic planning of our organization. The Accountant/Financial Analyst will conduct monthly analysis on P&L statements and Budget to Actual variances, prepare monthly expense and revenue trend analysis, and perform Payor Profitability analysis. Additionally, this role will provide ad-hoc financial analysis for special projects, compile monthly statistical information, assist with annual budget preparation, and support ongoing projects as needed. The position also involves assisting with month/year-end closings, making it a vital part of our financial team.

Responsibilities

  • Financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking
  • Monthly analysis on P&L statements and Budget to Actual variances
  • Prepares monthly expense and revenue trend analysis
  • Payor Profitability analysis
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for special projects
  • Compiles monthly statistical information

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables) required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team-Player
  • Attention to Detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to establish workload priorities and balance projects
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Master's degree preferred but not required
  • Microsoft BI experience a plus
