About the position

The Accountant - Fixed Assets & Capital Projects at The Queen's Medical Center is responsible for supporting all aspects of fixed assets and capital projects. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly in the healthcare sector, and involves ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of Fixed Assets and Capital projects.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and capital expenditures.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to fixed assets.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper asset management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance or related area; or five (5) years of experience in accounting functions.
  • One (1) year of fixed asset and capital projects related work experience.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and the healthcare industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (inactive or expired) preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
