About the position

MCI is seeking an accountant to join its executive management team. This role involves performing a variety of professional accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and policies. The accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of MCI, contributing to the company's commitment to excellence and innovation in business process outsourcing.

Responsibilities

• Performs Accounts Receivable functions including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation.
• Enters routine journal entries and bank transactions.
• Enters AP bills and credit card transactions if needed.
• Performs month-end closing and reconciliation.
• Reconciles, investigates, corrects, and adjusts accounting information.
• Performs bank reconciliation.
• Supports department peers as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 12 years of accrual basis accounting working experience including accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing and reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact within all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize and manage projects.
• Detail-oriented, excellent proofreading and editing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, organized, able to prioritize and work independently.
• Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
