About the position

The Accountant/HR Administrator at NC State Student Aid Association (The Wolfpack Club) is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions and human resource tasks. This role includes overseeing accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and liaising with outsourced accounting services. The position is integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective HR administration within a non-profit environment focused on college athletics.

Responsibilities

  • Run daily donation reports from donor database, reconcile to bank, and import into accounting software.
  • Work with membership department on proper accounting of receipts received via ACH and via third parties such as Stripe and PayPal.
  • Obtain approval and proper coding of all accounts payable invoices including verification of legitimate and necessary expenses, fund coding, and verification of sales tax.
  • Confirm receipts have been accurately coded and uploaded to the website for credit card reconciliation.
  • Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll information to payroll provider, confirming hours and compensation.
  • Process and submit semi-annual sales and use tax refunds and remit amusements tax seasonally for football premium seating revenue.
  • Oversee property and liability insurance coverage including courtesy car program.
  • Onboard new employees by collecting forms and setting them up in the payroll system.
  • Offboard termed employees and notify insurance companies of applicable changes.
  • Serve as backup to Membership Services and assist with game day responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting.
  • Three years of general ledger accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in payroll and human resources administration is highly desired.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Intacct and CBIZ is strongly preferred.
