Pay $21.03 - $29.78 an hour Job type Full-time Shift and schedule Day shift Location 179 North Broad Street, Norwich, NY 13815 Full job description Accountant I, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital United Health Services is seeking a Accountant I to join our Financial Operations 03 department at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift Day Hours per week: 40 Salary range: $21.03 - $29.78 per hour, depending on experience. Overview Depending on candidate and needs of position will hire for a Part-time, .6 (24 hrs./week) or Full-time, 1.0 (40 hrs./week) Day position. Assist in the daily cash management of United Health Services Hospitals and affiliate organizations by updating cash receipt and cash disbursement records timely and accurately on a daily basis as well as preparing various bank reconciliations on a monthly basis. Prepares various cash related journal entries as part of the month end general ledger closing process as well as periodic account analysis updates. Assists in fixed asset accounting including tracking all capital project expenditures and updating various fixed asset account analysis and reports on a monthly basis. Qualifications Education/Experience Minimum Required: A.A.S. or A.S. degree in Business or Accounting from an accredited college or university Preferred: Experience in public accounting, experience in healthcare Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in bookkeeping and payroll functions.
