Responsibilities

• Perform accounting and reporting duties focused on the accounting close process.
• Record journal entries and perform financial analysis and account reconciliations.
• Complete assigned duties as part of the accounting close process.
• Analyze financial and operational data and communicate results to management.
• Perform analysis and reconciliation through system queries and investigation of reconciling items.
• Review processes for improvements as changes occur or new requirements are added to the month-end close process.
• Make practical recommendations for efficiencies based on knowledge gained.
• Perform other accounting and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED and six years of professional experience in accounting, including two years of prolonged intellectual instruction in Accounting or Finance; OR
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area and four years of professional experience in accounting; OR
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area and two years of accounting experience; OR
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area.
