About the position

The Accountant II position at MOD Pizza is a key role within the accounting team, responsible for various tasks including payroll analysis, health and benefits accounting, and supporting the month-end close process. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workflows effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries for payroll, health insurance, and other employee compensation related costs.
• Collaborate with the payroll and people teams for necessary information.
• Develop the quarterly store bonus file by coordinating with the financial planning and analysis team.
• Track and manage third-party commission reporting and accounting periodically.
• Coordinate with external third-parties to obtain data for health and insurance related costs.
• Prepare period end account reconciliations and other close activities or tasks.
• Support other ad hoc accounting projects as needed.

Nice-to-haves
