About the position

Pinterest is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior GL Accountant to join its dynamic Accounting team. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic insights for the company's growth and success. The position involves executing international compliance filings, supporting external audits, overseeing general ledger activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance business insights.

Responsibilities

• Execute international compliance filings and statutory reporting
• Support external audits by providing accurate and timely information
• Oversee assigned general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Perform in-depth analysis of financial data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accrual processes and business insights
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements
• Maintain compliance with internal controls to mitigate financial risks
• Stay up to date with accounting standards and best practices, and provide guidance to the finance team
• Conduct regular review of accounting processes to identify areas for efficiencies
• Perform special projects, as needed, to support our rapid growth

Requirements

• Big 4 accounting firm (or similar) experience
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a technology or high-growth public company operating in a SOX environment
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Xlookups, pivot tables, etc)
• Strong organizational, critical thinking and communication skills
• Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
• Results-driven individual with a team-oriented mindset
• CPA/CA or CPA/CA path
• Accounting ERP experience (preferably Oracle)

Benefits

• Base salary range of $79,050 — $163,000 USD
