About The Position
The City of Phoenix Public Transit Department provides local bus, RAPID commuter bus, neighborhood and business circulators, Phoenix Dial-a-Ride and alternative transportation services by contracting with private companies who manage the day-to-day transit operations. The Public Transit Department also provides planning, scheduling, and financial management support to the High-Capacity Transit program. In this department, the Federal Compliance Analyst (Accountant III) will perform a variety of functions essential to the Compliance and Oversight Section of the Public Transit Department. Under the direction of the Federal Compliance Officer, this position will: * Interpret federal, State, and local requirements and laws. * Conduct oversight reviews and ensure compliance with FTA program requirements. * Assist in researching and responding to FTA requests. * Attend applicable subrecipient Board meetings. * Assist in updating and maintaining the Oversight Monitoring Plan. * Update and maintain federal oversight resource documents. * Review reimbursements made to determine that FTA rules and regulations are followed. * Draft compliance notices and reports. * Provide technical assistance to subrecipients.
