About the position

The Accountant for Income Tax Compliance will play a crucial role in a growing accounting firm located in Blue Ash, Ohio, focusing on clients in the development stage, particularly in life sciences and software development. This full-time position involves preparing a variety of tax returns, assisting with tax planning, and conducting tax research while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients and internal leadership, aiming to exceed client expectations and contribute to the firm's efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare personal income tax compliance for clients across multiple states, including federal, state, county, and local taxes.
• Handle payroll tax compliance, including tax deposits and statutory filings.
• File year-end wage information returns and perform annual reconciliations.
• Complete year-end informational return filings, including forms 1099M, 1099NEC, 1099B, and 1099DIV.
• Manage business income tax compliance for C-corporations, S-corporations, and Partnerships.
• Assist with tax planning throughout the year for individuals and businesses.
• Review expenses and payroll records as assigned.
• Conduct tax research and monitor daily legislative updates.
• Assist with other tax and accounting projects as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year preparing income tax returns in a professional tax office.
• Valid Enrolled Agent license (preferred).
• CPA license (preferred).
• Experience with QuickBooks.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
