Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Perform credit card reconciliations
  • Manage payroll and related activities and reports
  • Handle monthly use tax and multi-state reporting
  • Prepare 1099/W-2 and related activities and reports
  • Conduct cost accounting and inventory management
  • Review cost variances
  • Set up and maintain product pricing databases
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Handle taxation and auditing tasks
  • Maintain general ledger accounts
  • Analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP guidelines
  • Complete month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Conduct internal audits to identify potential errors or discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide financial analysis and support to management as needed
  • Utilize ERP software to record and track financial, HR, and payroll transactions

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience with small to mid-size companies
  • Previous experience in a small to mid-size industrial/manufacturing company
  • Inventory knowledge
  • Experience with ERP Oracle NetSuite
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Experience with financial statement preparation
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Financial acumen and understanding of business operations
  • Experience with double-entry bookkeeping
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to pass drug screening and criminal background check
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong teamwork relationships
