About the position

The Accountant position is a part-time role focused on managing various accounting tasks within a real estate investment and property management firm. The role involves processing accounts payable, reviewing subcontractor applications, managing expense reimbursements, and assisting with bank reconciliations and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong numerical aptitude and problem-solving skills, contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.

Responsibilities

• Processing all Accounts Payable for construction projects.
• Reviewing Subcontractor applications for accuracy and billing requirements.
• Collecting and reviewing monthly expense reimbursement and corporate credit card reports.
• Completing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash balances on multiple accounts.
• Assisting in new construction project setup.
• Assisting in developing and maintaining accounting procedures.
• Assisting year-end audit and preparation of financial reports.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of accounting experience.
• Capacity to multitask and quickly transition from one task to another.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sage 300 software experience.
