About the position

We are seeking a skilled Accountant/Payroll Specialist to join our Office Management team. This full-time position requires managing payroll processes, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and maintaining office operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial regulations, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire payroll process, including processing employee paychecks, calculating employee benefits, and ensuring accurate deductions for taxes, health insurance, and other benefits.
• Manage employees' use of sick and vacation time and reprimand where applicable.
• Utilize accounting Quickbooks software to manage payroll and financial data.
• Coordinate with management and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure accurate and timely payment of employee wages.
• Billing and AR collecting for customers.
• Accounts payable for vendors, entering and paying bills timely.
• Cleaning of Office, general filing and upkeep.
• Admin Assistance duties to Owner and HR.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a related accounting role.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations.
• Experience with accounting software, such as Quickbooks.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with corporate accounting and general ledger reconciliation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field highly recommended or years of experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with payroll processing (1 year preferred).
• Fluency in Spanish (preferred).
