About the position

Amichetti & Company, LLC is seeking an experienced accountant for a permanent part-time role. This position offers flexibility with an average of 20 hours per week and may include a hybrid work format. The accountant will be involved in various areas of the firm, including personal income tax, corporate taxation, non-profit accounting, and financial reporting, and will serve as the final reviewer for certain tax returns and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within time frame
• Provide innovative tax planning
• Review income tax returns
• Review Compiled, Reviewed and Audited financial statements for Corporations, Non-profits, and partnerships
• Identify and mitigate tax risks
• Prepare complex US and state individual income tax returns
• Communicate with IRS and Clients in connection with audits, inquiries and tax notices

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting
• Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
• Proficient in Quickbooks
• Strong leadership and personnel management skills
• Good oral and written communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• CPA license
• Experience in Audited Financial Statement Preparation
