About the position

The Accountant position at Tyson Foods, Inc. is part of the Corporate Accounting Systems and Support group. This role serves as a liaison between the accounting function and Information Systems, focusing on maintaining lease accounting software, coordinating training for accounting systems, and assisting with accounting master data maintenance. The position also involves solving end-user requests and supporting the month-end accounting close process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lease accounting software and ensure its proper functioning.
• Coordinate accounting systems training and create training materials for the Accounting department.
• Assist with accounting master data maintenance.
• Resolve end-user requests and problems via the remedy system, phone calls, and email.
• Support the month-end accounting close process and perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 1+ years of related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
• Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Certified Public Accountant eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred but not required.
