About the position

The Accountant position at Prime Therapeutics is a remote role responsible for managing moderately complex accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger accounts. The role involves preparing financial statements and managerial reports, supporting month-end and year-end close procedures, and conducting balance sheet reconciliations. The Accountant will collaborate with management to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Support month end and year end accounting close procedures
• Prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations
• Complete moderate analysis projects
• Work closely with Prime managers to gather information for annual audits and reviews
• Create standard support schedules and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Calculate accrual entries and complete timely and accurate general ledger entries
• Assist team members with analysis projects
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or related area of study or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
• 2 years of relevant experience
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
• Intermediate level knowledge of Excel (including detailed understanding of v-lookups, pivot tables and formulas) and Word; familiarity with ERP systems
• Intermediate accounting, GAAP and FASB knowledge
• Ability to interpret business needs and results

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with database tools: general ledger, fixed asset and accounting software
• Basic level knowledge of PowerPoint
• Experience working in large ERP systems
• MBA, CPA or CMA (Certified Management Accountant)
