Higher Accounting Services Corp. is seeking a part-time, remote Accountant to join our team. We are an accounting and bookkeeping firm dedicated to providing a client-centered experience for each of our clients. As an outsourced accounting provider, we are committed to delivering service excellence to entrepreneurs and privately owned service businesses. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while allowing you to engage with multiple clients across various industries. In this role, you will be responsible for managing QuickBooks banking transactional downloads and bookkeeping maintenance. You will perform daily and monthly data entry and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy through client review of the general ledger. Additionally, you will provide payroll support as needed and handle other bookkeeping activities as requested. This may include downloading, coding, and reconciling bank activity, assisting with Sales and Use tax, and preparing any other requested reporting, including year-end reporting. The position requires a self-starter who can work independently while also being a collaborative team member. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to creatively solve problems. You will be expected to take direction and execute tasks efficiently. This role is temporary with the potential for ongoing work, particularly during the busy season from October 1 through November 22, where additional hours may be required. Responsibilities

  • Work with multiple clients in various industries

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online required
  • Familiarity with Zoho Suite desired
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and creative problem solving
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills
  • Ability to take direction and execute
