About the position

The Accountant position at Prime Therapeutics is a remote role responsible for managing moderately complex accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger accounts. The role involves preparing financial statements and managerial reports, supporting month-end and year-end close procedures, and conducting balance sheet reconciliations. The Accountant will collaborate with management to gather information for audits and reviews, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Support month end and year end accounting close procedures
• Prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations
• Complete moderate analysis projects
• Work closely with Prime managers to gather information for annual audits and reviews
• Create standard support schedules and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Calculate accrual entries and complete timely and accurate general ledger entries
• Assist team members with analysis projects
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or related area of study or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
• 2 years of relevant experience
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
• Intermediate level knowledge of Excel (including detailed understanding of v-lookups, pivot tables and formulas) and Word; familiarity with ERP systems
• Intermediate accounting, GAAP and FASB knowledge
• Ability to interpret business needs and results

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with database tools: general ledger, fixed asset and accounting software
• Basic level knowledge of PowerPoint
• Experience working in large ERP systems
• MBA, CPA or CMA (Certified Management Accountant)
