About the position

AccuTax Tax & Accounting is seeking a full-time Tax Preparer/Bookkeeper with 1-3 years of experience. The role involves preparing taxes, bookkeeping, and payroll duties, utilizing various accounting software to manage client information and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Scan and enter clients' tax information in Drake tax software.
• Enter progress into accounting management software.
• Perform weekly, monthly, and annual bookkeeping tasks.
• Conduct bank reconciliation and data entry for various clients.
• Calculate payroll deposits and prepare quarterly and annual reports.
• Handle year-end 1099 reporting.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Word.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• High level of accuracy and organization.
• Analytical skills and a willingness to learn.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with payroll processing.
• Familiarity with Drake tax software.
