About the position

The Accountant with CPA for Project Management Consulting at Round 2 Corp is responsible for overseeing the accounting and control functions of the company. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and controlling financial operations, particularly during the implementation of a new ERP system. The consultant will assist in streamlining accounting processes and ensuring compliance with financial policies while providing support during the busy season in Q4 and into Q1.

Responsibilities

  • Establish policies, procedures, systems, and controls for effective financial recording, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ensure financial records comply with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Manage cash and line of credit on a daily basis.
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly and annual financial results.
  • Maintain relationships with external accountants and legal counsel, providing necessary financial information.
  • Compile annual budget and report results against it.
  • Prepare analyses to support operating management.
  • Develop and maintain banking relationships with management and legal counsel.
  • Safeguard company assets through effective systems.
  • Supervise accounting staff, including performance feedback and skill development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Ability to mentor and delegate work in a supervisory capacity.
  • Highly detailed and organized with strong prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
