About the position

The Accountant position at Averro involves performing and overseeing financial closing activities, analyzing financial results, and supporting audits. This role is essential for ensuring compliance and improving financial processes within the organization. The position is temporary, hybrid, and offers a competitive hourly wage.

Responsibilities

• Perform and help oversee financial closing activities, such as preparing and reviewing journal entries
• Analyze financial results and communicate them with stakeholders
• Support internal, external and compliance audits
• Work with peers to identify and implement process improvements
• Support execution of SAP implementation
• Participate in special projects, developmental opportunities, and other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting role
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is a plus
