About the position

The Accountant position at Magna Steyr is responsible for managing the timely and accurate reporting of financial information, ensuring compliance with established procedures for all business transactions. The role involves maintaining the general ledger, analyzing financial transactions, and preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports. The Accountant will also liaise with auditors and government agencies, ensuring accurate financial practices within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end close activities for all corporate entities.
• Perform account reconciliations for Real Estate, Servicios, and Cashpool entities.
• Process IC invoices and payments in the SAP module.
• Audit Concur reports and interface data into SAP.
• Manage IC activities for Cashpool and Real Estate entities and oversee SAP Aging for all.
• Conduct bank reconciliations for the cash pooling entity between PN system and SAP.
• Handle real estate accounting for two SAP entities.
• Determine monthly data for tax calculations for three entities based on SAP analytics.
• Process supplier invoices in the SAP module.

Requirements

• SAP knowledge and S4 Hana preferred.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in financial/accounting areas.
• Advanced Excel knowledge.
• Bilingual with 70%+ capability to communicate in writing and speaking.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High ethical standards.
• Commitment to department timelines.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Public accountant or similar professional profile.
• Strong analytical and technical skills (Excel) and SAP knowledge (S4Hana as a plus).
• Experience with month-end close activities.
• Participation in ERP systems migration/implementation as a plus.
• High participation in forecast, budget, and month-end processes.
