About the position

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Accountant to join our growing Apparel ID & Packaging company in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of technical and operational accounting functions. This role requires a minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience and offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while managing accounts receivable and payable, as well as general accounting duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable including maintaining an up-to-date invoice system and following up on payments.
• Perform account reconciliations and monitor customer account details for irregularities.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and review AR aging for compliance.
• Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records, and process receipts and credit card payments.
• Prepare bank deposits and investigate customer queries.
• Assist with month-end closing and process customer credit applications.
• Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Prepare vendor statements and reconcile accounts payables to the general ledger.
• Verify discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements.
• Generate reports detailing accounts payables status and assist with monthly reconciliations.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in a full cycle accounting environment.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent credential.
• Intermediate-Advanced Excel experience required, including IF formulas, Pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-starter, and able to work independently.
