About the position

This position is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations and assisting the Accounting Team in reporting the company's financial results, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. The role involves establishing financial status through the development and implementation of systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.

Responsibilities

• Process, oversee, and analyze month and year-end accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
• Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
• Monitor, analyze, and produce financial reports and/or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Coordinate and complete audits.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Perform reconciliations related to billing and statements.
• Set up accounts with vendors and monitor contracts.
• Research discrepancies and produce reports as needed.
• Effectively communicate with team members, suppliers, and customers via email, phone, and fax.
• Ensure that all required reporting is up to date and accurate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel experience preferred.
• Budgeting and forecasting reporting experience helpful.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Syteline Software experience a plus.
• CPA certification a plus.
• Experience with ERP Systems and SAP Systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in manufacturing accounting environments.
• Familiarity with advanced accounting software beyond QuickBooks.
