About the position

The Accountant role at Lowe's is primarily focused on accurately reporting revenue and managing deferred revenue-related transactions from both operational and financial reporting perspectives. This position involves maintaining financial records in compliance with US GAAP, processing journal entries, and reconciling accounts to ensure the integrity of financial data.

Responsibilities

• Perform Month-End Close procedures including journal entries and reconciliations of revenue and deferred revenue accounts.
• Prepare consolidated Month-End Analysis.
• Research transactions to identify issues and ensure they are processed correctly, providing accurate and timely resolutions for any discrepancies.
• Collaborate across the accounting and finance organizations, as well as with the Business, to ensure accurate reporting of revenue and deferred revenue.
• Review job procedures and key processes to identify potential improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
• Work with external and internal auditors to provide required data and information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
• 2-4 years' experience in accounting, finance, or a related area
• Good understanding of accounting and financial controls
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Access)
