About the position
As an Accountant at RXO, you will perform essential accounting functions for both domestic and international operations. This role is designed to help you grow and develop your career while utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance efficiency in transportation solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, preparing journal entries, and assisting with audits, among other tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Preparing journal entries.
- Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Tracking and analyzing employee expense reports.
- Assisting internal and external auditors on various requests.
- Weekly review of general ledger for any coding errors.
- Assisting with month-end close.
- Performing other ad hoc reporting as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
- 1 year of accounting or financial reporting experience.
- Strong math aptitude.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5+ years relevant work history.
- CPA certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel knowledge.
- Highly organized, good time management and problem-solving skills.
